Winter weather
At the end of November, all 44 switch heating cabinets at Maasvlakte, Europoort and Botlek were replaced from the project. In a number of cabinets there is still a problem with the power supply to the cabinet, which means that they cannot be switched on or only partially switched on. At the end of November, carriers will receive an overview of which cabinets (and underlying switch) are involved. To be on the safe side, it has already been decided to have a snow plow ready at all locations, just like in previous winters.
At locations where it appears that the point heating is functioning properly in winter and all defects have been definitively resolved, the snow plows can be scaled down for that location. In summary, it means that, as a backup, the same winter protocol as in recent years comes into effect.
